The WI Comprehensive School Counseling Model (WCSCM) is a coordinated system of programs, activities, and learning experiences that prepare all students for life after high school. The program is implemented BY ALL and provides opportunities FOR ALL students to develop to their fullest socially, academically, and in their career planning.
In the Level II Seminar, K-12 counselors and district staff analyze current student services in order to develop or enhance a comprehensive school counseling program. Your team will focus on the delivery of your comprehensive school counseling program. Participants will review the student-parent conferencing handbook, develop a comprehensive curricular action plan including scope/sequence, curriculum maps and/or unit lesson guides, crosswalk the student counseling content standards, and prepare an advisory committee handbook.
Who should attend: School counseling teams who have completed the four-day Level I seminar or are familiar with the concepts of Level I are encouraged to participate in the Level II seminar. Teams of 3-6 are encouraged to attend. You may concentrate on one grade span (PK-5, 6-8 or 9-12) or have representation from each grade span. Teams are encouraged to have their Level I manuals completed and approved by an administrator to participate in Level II.
