CESA 5 is inviting district teams to attend 2 full-day workshops for assistance in completing PI 9.06 Pupil Nondiscrimination Self Evaluation and reporting.  The required data elements include:

  • "methods, practices, curriculum, and materials used in...counseling..." (PI-9.06(1)(c), Wis. Admin. Code)
  • "[t]rends and patterns in awarding scholarships and other forms of recognition and achievement provided or administered by the school district" (PI 9.06(1)(f), Wis. Admin. Code)
  • "[p]articipation trends and patterns and school district support of athletic, extracurricular and recreational activities" (PI 9.06(1)(e), Wis. Admin. Code)

PI 9.06, Wis. Admin. Code requires that every school district evaluate and prepare a written report on the status of nondiscrimination and equality of educational opportunity in the school district - the School District Self-Evaluation of the Status of Pupil Nondiscrimination and Equality of Educational Opportunities, at least once every five years.

Who should attend: District teams will vary based on size and personnel duties.  Suggested personnel includes: Athletic Director, school counselor or counseling secretary, Principals, Director or Pupil Services.  Teams may bring up to three members. Workshops will be capped at 35 participants on a first come, first served basis.

Cost per district team for both days*: $500
*District teams up to 3 members.  Lunch is included.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
