This day-long workshop will be devoted to in-depth exploration of two interventions that are critical for helping struggling readers. In the morning, participants will be introduced to Retrospective Miscue Analysis. In the afternoon, participants will be introduced to Repeated Readings. Across the day, we will delve into case studies of readers to explore possibilities and to gain insight into the use of each intervention as a means to help challenged readers. Participants will be given tools and strategies, as well as time to practice said strategies which will bolster reader achievement.

Who should attend?

Classroom teachers in grades 4 – 12, reading teachers, reading specialists, intervention teachers, teachers of students with learning disabilities, literacy coaches and administrators.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
