Using the iPad to Support Special Education Students

Can iPod/iPad technology really be used to help support students with special needs in the educational setting...Indeed it can. This hands-on workshop will give you the opportunity to actually work with iPads and apps that are relevant to special education students. Participants will work with applications in the following areas: AAC, social skills, literacy, writing, math, data collection, behavior management, music, songs, art and games. Resources for finding apps, podcasts, books and music, and for setting up the accessibility features, will also be shared.
Audience: Regular and Special Education Teachers, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Paraprofessionals, ESL Teachers
