"Inquiry-based teaching practices result in significant increases in student performance, lead learners to understand material more deeply, and
encourage students to apply their learning to new situations and contexts" (Darling Hammond et. al, 2008).  

Join us as we explore resources and instructional pathways that provide opportunities for students to engage in inquiry based learning.  Particpants in this workshop will:

  1. Foster student engagement by creating text sets to foster content literacy and knowledge
  2. Learn different models in providing multiple pathways of instruction
  3. Gather and explore resources for creating text sets 4) Leave the workshop with a text set for content learning.

Audience:  This workshop is open to all educators PreK-12 seeking ways to better engage their students while creating a deeper understanding of their learning.

Cost:  $100 per person for School Improvement Members
$200 per person for non-SI Members
Cost includes lunch and all resources.
