Navigating the C's of Change: Communication and Collaboration in the 21st Century
Saturday, March 5th, 2011 from 8:30 to 4:00 and four-weeks online (Sunday, March 6th to Saturday, April 2nd, 2011)
-Optional One graduate credit from Viterbo-

Do you need ‘sailing’ lessons on how to navigate the changes in the 21st century? Participants will engage in both structured and independent exploration of a variety of readings and online resources to enhance their communication and collaboration skills for the 21st century. Activities are designed to familiarize participants with teaching strategies and online tools that will help them to develop their own communication and collaboration skills and then incorporate these skills and tools into their curriculum.

In this course you will:
• work in small groups to explore and create projects using Web 2.0 tools such as Skype, wikis, Google Docs, and more.
• participate in online Discussions forums
• explore ways to align communication and collaboration strategies and digital tools into the curriculum
• explore ways to evaluate authentic learning experiences and create assessment for technology standards.
• create an activity/lesson plan that incorporates the effective use of one or more techniques from the course
