Title: 2011 Wisconsin Early Childhood Indicator Trainings – Environments, Child Outcomes and Transition

Purpose of theTraining

“When the music changes, so does the dance” – African Proverb
The music is changing in the world of early education so in order to provide the highest quality services to young children and their families it’s time to do a new dance. In this training, participants will become updated on the most recent changes related to the B-6 Early Childhood Indicators pertaining to Environments, Child Outcomes, and Transitions and will explore best practices in carrying out the indicator work. Birth-to-3 participants are encouraged to attend the morning Child Outcomes session but are also invited to stay for lunch and the Transition portion of the afternoon if desired.

Participant Objectives:
 Participants will:
1. Review, practice and identify the essential elements of determining high quality reliable outcomes data.
2. Review the transition process, including elements of policy, best practice, interagency agreements, new timeline requirements and PPS reporting.
3. Review accurate reporting of educational environments and best practice in identifying least restrictive preschool environments.
