This training is designed to support evaluators of teachers with Focus Certification. Day 1 of the training is designed to build understanding around the Danielson Framework for Teaching. There will also be time for participants to take the first of two assessments needed for certification. Day 2 is optional and will provide additional support around the Framework as well as time to take the second assessment for certification.

Outcomes:

  • Distinguish between appropriate evidence and interpretation
  • Distinguish between appropriate evidence and statements that are biased or suggest professional preferences
  • Recognize evidence that has been categorized to the wrong Framework component
  • Assign an accurate score for each of the eight Framework components based on a set of evidence
  • Assign evidence to the appropriate Framework component

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
