AM AGENDA
Incorporating Students with Disabilities into the Academic & Career Planning Process
Kathy Tuttle, Northern Regional Coordinator for the WI Transition Improvement Grant
This session will help you compare Post-Secondary Transition Plan (PTP) requirements to the Academic & Career Planning requirements. We will discuss the role of the Special Education staff and supportive services in implementing and delivering ACP services, and plan for ACP service delivery infused into PTP requirements.
Establishing Partnerships with Businesses & Families
Gregg Curtis, DPI School Counseling Consultant
As educators strive to implement Academic and Career Planning district-wide and community-wide, the realization that schools can’t do this work alone is an early learning point. To help students maximize and personalize their K-12 educational experience toward an intentional goal beyond high school graduation, integrating business and community resources into students’ experiences is not only possible, but also expected. This presentation will provide information about engaging parents, communities, and businesses in ACP implementation and provide some tools presented in the National Center for College and Career Transitions (NC3T) that facilitate outside engagement.
Supporting ACP through Technology Tools
Archie Barribeau, CESA 9 Director of Technology and Digital Learning
Explore multiple platforms for student e-portfolio creation and other technology tools to help students academic and career plan. Brooke Davis from Edgar and Dawn Huseby from Merrill will share examples of technology tools their students use for Academic & Career Planning.
