Monday, January 31st, 2011 at the CESA 5 Office, Portage, WI 8:30 to 3:30

Are you looking for research-based instructional strategies to improve student learning? Would you like to learn how to use technology with these instructional strategies? During this workshop, you will: 1) receive an overview of the research-based instructional strategies for enhancing student achievement, 2) discuss ways in which to use online resources with Nonlinguistic Representation, 3) receive hands-on practice with the online resources (i.e. VoiceThread, Animoto, drawing programs, webbing programs, presentation programs, and more), and 4) see examples of how the Nonlinguistic Representation strategy and online resources are integrated in the classroom. Participants will use online resources featuring content from McREL's Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works book, along with a customized wiki to get real, hands-on experience with technology integration that support the Nonlinguistic Representation strategy.
