Effective means producing the expected and intended results, which for teachers would be student learning. Harry and Rosemary Wong will explain that the single greatest effect on student achievement is the effectiveness of the teacher. Effective teachers have a classroom that is structured and organized and CONSISTENT in how the classroom is run. They will show how effective teachers manage their classrooms for high-level student success, teach for lesson mastery so the students will learn and achieve, and have positive expectation for student success.
They will show many practical examples of:

  • How to manage a classroom so that students do what they are supposed to do (thus, eliminating most behavior problems);
  • How to teach for lesson mastery so the students will learn and achieve; and,
  • How to produce students who will come to school each day with high expectations to succeed.
