Universal Design for Learning Series - Workshop 2

 

Universal Design for Learning Series (Aligns with the CESA 8 Continuous Improvement Model - Student Engagement) This series of workshops will deliver a deep understanding of UDL (Universal Design for Learning), its application to achievement for all students, and practical utilization of the guidelines in all subjects, in any classroom, and in a system of continuous improvement. Workshop 2: UDL Guidelines  -  We’ll deepen our understanding of the three principles of UDL, variability in engagement, action & expression, and representation. We’ll investigate the checkpoints pertaining to each principle.  You will analyze your current practices through the lens of the UDL framework.   Workshop 3: Using the UDL Framework in Your Work - May 17, 2016 - 9:00 AM -3:30 PM This practical workshop will provide guided discovery and work time to incorporate UDL principles in current curricula.  Participants will learn a facilitated feedback process to critique each other’s UDL lesson modifications.  Expect collaborative work time filled with passion for reaching all learners!   Cost: $75 per participant per workshop for CESA 8 - CIA or SNPD member school districts. $150 per person per workshop for all others

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
