Are you ready to start your journey as a Reading Specialist? CESA 5 is offering the first class in a series of courses through UW Oshkosh as part of a cohort model. The first class, Adolescent Literacy, will cover what it looks like to help a struggling reader 6-12.

The Wisconsin Reading Teacher 1316 Program prepares teachers to do more than interventions. Through hands-on professional development and rich, but flexible classes the teacher will reflect, instruct, and lead in a variety of settings to come to a place where they deeply understand literacy and how to be a literacy leader. Teachers will strengthen their instructional practices, critically look into assessments and how they can be used, and gain insight into ways to improve student achievement inside and outside of the classroom. Furthermore, the reading program offers a grand-scheme lense to look at literacy K-12, as well as ways to help all students that struggle with reading. Come join us and become an expert in reading!

No payment is due at this time, and we will have you register with Oshkosh on the first day off class.
