The Remediation Plus Early Language Teacher curriculum supports teachers with emergent literacy instruction. If you teach kindergarten or grade 1, buy the curriculum and learn how to teach the students the 26 letters, their sounds, how the sounds are shaped for the writing process and teach the students how to blend the sounds to learn how to read and segment them to learn how to spell. This curriculum is intended to supplement your existing literacy curriculum.
The curriculum is also used for intervention students whose skills are too low for the Remediation Plus System of intervention. Interventionists take students through all or parts of this curriculum to prepare students for the core intervention program (2 day training).
Several CESA 8 early literacy teachers are already successfully using this program with K-1 students at the universal, selective and intensive levels.
Every teacher will need their own kit for their classroom. While a kit may be shared among two team members for training purposes, it is recommended that every have their own kit. The kit costs $400 online, but with the support from Remediation+ we are able to offer the Early Language Curriculum to all participants for $350. If you already have a kit, please bring it to the training. (Note: These materials are included in the Remediation Plus System, so if you have already purchased that kit, then you have the materials you need for this training and would NOT need to purchase another kit.)
Cost: $75 per participant for CESA 8 - CIA or Literacy Member School Districts for the one-day training + $350 for Early Language Curriculum Kit; $150 for all others + $350 for Kit. You will have the option in myquickreg to order a kit through CESA 8 with the discounted price of $350. We will bill your district for it along with your registration fees.
