This FREE 1-day workshop will provide you with an understanding of ELL students and strategies and supports for helping to meet their individual needs.
Vicki Kroiss has taught in the classroom arena in Green Bay and Menasha, WI. She was awarded Outstanding Teacher in 2007 by her peers. She has also served at the administration level at Menasha Joint School District and is a licensed Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist, holding a Masters Degree in Reading.
Ms. Krois has an extensive background in ELL assisting many mid-size to small districts set up their ELL programs.
- She has worked with many lead ELL experts, such as Dr. Catherine Collier.
- One of the original members of the W.I.D.A. (World Class Instructional Design) and assisted in creating the ACCESS and W-APT assessment pieces.
- Received the Leadership Award for her graduating class for work in an ELL camp in the mountains of California.
- She is a guest educator for Peninsula State Park in Door County, WI, where she introduces visitors to cultural differences within Wisconsin and especially Door County.
- She is a past member of CCBC (Children’s Cooperative Book Center, UW-Madison) advisory board and is currently serving on the advisory board of “Read On Wisconsin” also with the University of Wisconsin Madison.
