The iPad and the iPod Touch are drawing attention from educators who are enthusiastically integrating the mobile device into their classes. It is being used to enhance reading fluency, function as a graphing calculator, serve as a source of reference materials for social studies, act as an access tool for curriculum podcasts, be the voice of those that are unable to speak, send and receive emails, juggle a busy calendar, access the internet, and support elementary students in their classroom.
You are invited to attend an event on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm hosted by CESA #3 Instructional Technology Department to experience what it takes to deploy iPod Touch and iPads for your school and see exciting new learning solutions. You'll also get a chance to discuss with other school districts how mobility is increasing learning opportunities.
Presenters Ty Beckman, Jeremy Egger, and Jan Sinclair from Apple, Inc., will be providing:
• An overview of Mibility and Apple Digital Learning Environments
• Hands-on with iPads, iPods and other mobile tecchnologies
• Discussion of Management and Deployment of these tools in your district
Space and equipment is limited to the first 30 registrants. Registration is required by November 16. 2010 and free to all ITSS (iTASC and/or Resource Center) member districts and $25 for non-member districts.
Member districts are: BELMONT, BENTON, BLACK HAWK, BOSCOBEL, CASSVILLE, DARLINGTON, DODGEVILLE, FENNIMORE, ITHACA, LANCASTER, MINERAL POINT, NORTH CRAWFORD, PECATONICA, PLATTEVILLE, POTOSI, RICHLAND CENTER, RIVER RIDGE, RIVER VALLEY, SENECA, SHULLSBURG, SOUTHWESTERN, WAUZEKA AND WESTON.
