This network meeting will go into detail about three different aspects of homelessness and the liaison role. The beginning session will consist of Jodi Emerson from Fierce Freedom in Eau Claire, presenting on homelessness and trafficking around the world and in Wisconsin. Alissa Kohli will discuss her work with the Chippewa County Coalition on Homelessness and Hunger Partners Meeting, which includes representatives from various resources and organizations fighting homnelessness and providing support. Dave Schaller will be covering his experience with the McKinney-Vento Audit process in order to cover any aspect of documenting and recording that schools may be missing out on. This presentation will be particularly useful in case your school has to go through the audit process.

Learning objectives:

Gain knowledge of a cross section of homelessness in Wisconsin.
Learn about ways to engage the community and raise concern for homelessness.
Understand the workings of a McKinney-Vento Audit.
