As technology speeds forward in education, parents, students, teachers and administrators are frequently faced with copyright issues and concerns regarding internet safety. More importantly, things such as cyber-bullying can occur almost unintentionally in a video yearbook produced by students if they do not understand some basics about media ethics. This workshop will help educators to see digital citizenship in a brand new way, while exploring new methods of using technology to educate in a compliant and safe manner.
The target audience for this training includeK-12 media specialists, technology specialists, administrators, and teachers of music, arts and core subjects. The workshop includes resources and activities for the participants they can easily share with other teachers, parents and administrators.
Cost of this training is $50 for iTASC and Resource Center (RMC/SEIMC) members and $125 for non-members.
