Target Audience: HS Special ED Teachers, Directors of Special Education & School Psychologists
Description: This session will begin with Mary Kampa discussing what can be learned from post school outcomes and how the information may be used to shape programs for youth with disabilities. Participants will become familiar with the post school outcome requirements and results for Indicator #14.
Next there will be a panel representing DPI and adult service agencies DHS and DVR. This panel will focus on integrated employment outcomes and the role each agency plays in the transition process. In addition, the new DPI, DHS, DVR Interagency Agreement will be discussed.
In addition, Dave Nass will share effective practices for interagency collaboration including effective communication, using local and regional data, and describing common elements to improve outcomes for students with disabilities transitioning from school to integrated employment.
No Charge - Costs for participation are funded through the CESA #3 Regional Services Network (RSN) Grant
