Today's classroom teachers focus on differentiation to meet the needs of all students.  However, gifted students have unique learning needs that are not addressed by differentiation strategies targeting only average, high achieving, or struggling learners.  How does differentiation go beyond the basics to the needs of gifted/talented learners?  This session provides participants with a framework that supports the advanced pace, sophisticated complexity and greater depth required by the gifted learners.  Practical, do-able, step-by-step strategies are highlighted.

Learning outcomes:

  1. Participants will gain an understanding of the unique learning needs of gifted students.
  2. Participants will be provided with a framework that supports the advanced pace, sophisticated complexity and greater depth required by the gifted learner.
  3. Participants will receive practical, do-able, step-by-step strategies for teaching gifted students.

This workshop is free of charge to GT Consortium members.
