Objectives:
• Understand changes to Chapter 118.29 - The Administration of Drugs to Pupils and Emergency Care
• Identify the Department of Public Instruction approved training requirements.
• Become familiar with the available DPI training resources.
• Review the New Students with Diabetes: A Resource Guide for Wisconsin Schools and Families
• Identify statewide benefit, use and application, of guide as an educational tool and resource tool for schools and school personnel
• Recognize key elements contained in the document that will be critical to keeping students with diabetes safe at school and during all school sponsored activities
