Engage learners at every grade level in all diciplines with systematic vocabulary instruction, using texts, instructional practices, and research-based strategies. In this workshop, participants will learn that through systematic vocabulary instruction, they are preparing students for the Wisconsin Forward assessment and demonstrating teacher. Participants will leave the workshop ready to support their students' indirect and direct acquisition of vocabulary words through:
- Word learning strategies: contextual analysis, morphological analysis, use of resources
- Word consciousness
- Learning individual words
- Reading
- Listening

Cost:
-CESA 5 Title III Consortium Members: Two Registration fees will be funded through the CESA 5 Title III Consortium, if registered by 1/5/15.
-$125 for CESA 5 School Improvement Consortium Members
-$250 for all others
~$25 early bird discount if registered by December 20, 2015
