Two goals for one day:  

  1. Become familiar with current practices and resources in science education.
  2. Brainstorm a plan for developing common assessments and using neighboring science teachers as your professional PLC.

Some resources we will investigate:  Evidence Statements around NGSS, implications of no adoption for your district, the EQuiP tool for material selection, and resource tools for supporting literacies.

All participants should bring an electronic device that connects to the internet.
