Day 2 will introduce the 10 Critical Features for Tier 2 Interventions. The Benchmarks of Advanced Tiers (BAT) will be introduced to the Secondary Systems Planning Team. The team will focus on building the foundations of Tier 2 with the development of team practices, school systems, and more targeted data. The use of Social Academic Instructional Groups (SAIG), functional behavior assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP) as part of Tier 2 interventions will be introduced to the team for strategic planning. The Secondary Systems Planning Team will build an action plan around Tier 2 students needs, utilizing best practices and the additional tools available to them.
Workshop presenters: Karen Lietzow, CESA 5 RSN Project Director, will facilitate the trainings, under the direction of Marla Dewhirst, Assistant Director, Illinois PBIS Network. The advantage of participating in the CESA 5 sponsored trainings is sharing of expenses and thereby reduced costs.
Registration fees: $700 each day for a school-based team of 6 individuals or less for the two day training, includes food, beverages, snacks & facilities charge. $25 for Tier II manual, one time fee. Additional team members may attend the training for $100 per person per day.
