Comprehensive school health programs require youth involvement to create environments conducive to healthy, resilient, and successful learners. As part of the Department of Public Instruction’s efforts to encourage youth initiatives they are offering the Student AODA Mini-Grant Program. Funds will be available on a competitive basis for schools throughout the state to support education, prevention, and intervention programs designed by the students, targeting alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) and other youth risk behaviors such as tobacco, traffic safety, violence, suicide, etc. In addition, a major funding priority of the mini-grant program is the involvement of youth in the planning and implementation of the project.

CESA 12 will host a grant writing workshop for youth groups and their advisors to assist in the process of writing an AODA mini grant. This workshop is for any group that wants time and guidance in completing their minigrant.

Registration fee: $40 per team (teams consists of 3 students and 1 advisor) and includes lunch

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
