Corrective Reading Decoding

This is an accelerated remedial reading program for students in grades 4 and up. Corrective Reading is recommended by the FCRR, see the attached document. The placement test helps determine the correct starting level. Lessons are carefully crafted to meet the academic and emotional needs of intermediate and middle school students reading well below grade level.  All lessons provide word attack, story reading with understanding, fluency work, and written responses. The program meets the requirements of a research validated intervention as described by the SLD law.

Cost:    Provided by the CESA 8 Literacy Center and Title I Network at a reduced cost of $50 per participant for any CESA 8 School District.  $150 per participant for all other school districts.

 

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met.
