It has been a year of trial and error, challenges and successes with using The Framework for Teaching in the Educator Effectiveness System.
Join Teresa Lien, our Danielson Consultant, to learn how to scaffold the Educator Effectiveness activities so that teachers are the learners in this process. When teachers become active participants in strategically using The Framework for Teaching, we promote synthesis and reflective practice so that professional practices advance.
DAY ONE - July 13: Foundations to Implementing the The Framework for Teaching with Integrity
Understand the underlying concepts to answer the ‘why behind the how’ of using The Framework for Teaching in teaching and learning for adults and students. In order for educators to fully comprehend the value of The Framework for Teaching, participants will gain a deeper understanding so that they protect the integrity of The Framework for Teaching.
DAY TWO - July 14: Applying The Framework for Teaching through the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness System
Many times throughout the effectiveness cycle, summary and supporting year teachers need to know what is relevant and timely in use of The Framework for Teaching.
Participants will learn how to extend The Framework for Teaching with meaningful exercises in Teachscape Learn. Learning how to use the data from the collaborative observation process will be shared so that the professional development in buildings and districts are based on evidence.
DAY THREE - July 15: Training of Trainers to Implement The Framework for Teaching in School Districts
In this session, participants will gain tools and strategies to apply The Framework for Teaching through modules as a certified Danielson trainer. The various methods of delivery will be demonstrated from traditional to personalized learning and flipped professional development to fit the needs of a district’s resources for time and coaching.
Participants will conduct a performance task and sign an agreement with the Danielson Group to be qualified to provide trainings in their current district.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
