This workshop is for Middle School teachers participating in the 2010-2011 Networking Exemplary Teaching and Technology (NExTT) EETT Grant. Participating districts include Belmont, Benton, Black Hawk, Boscobel, Darlington, Dodgeville, Ithaca, Platteville, Richland, River Ridge, Seneca, and Wauzeka-Steuben. This workshop is aimed at 8th grade teachers and students but other grades may participate as long as the students are capable of taking the 8th grade pre and post assessment. Participating teaching will be introduced to skills and tools needed for students to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st Century. During this workshop we will introduce teachers to the Intel Elements Project Based Approaches course. Participants will also be introduced to Critical Friends, a peer review process that assists teachers in creating better lessons that include 21st Century concepts and higher order thinking.
