Overview
Throughout the day the objectives for this workshop will include:

Differentiate between five different purposes of assessment in early childhood settings
Assess district/county ongoing assessment practices to identify strengths and potential areas of growth
Critique criterion-referenced assessment tools for use in functional assessment
Practice using data from assessment tools in the Child Outcomes rating process
Creating a system for documentation


Presenter
Ruth Chvojicek has worked for over 20 years with young children and the adults that support them. Currently, as State Coordinator for Special Education Indicator 7, Child Outcomes, she supports Wisconsin School Districts in designing systems that collect and report accurate data on the status of young children on 3 child outcomes:

1. Positive Social –Emotional Skills

2. Acquisition and use of knowledge and skills

3. Appropriate behaviors to meet own needs

WES8The teacher understands and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate and ensure the continuous intellectual, social, and physical development of the pupil.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:
