This training will show you how to teach PECS with fidelity so your learners don’t get stuck on early Phases of PECS. Let us help you create lessons that turn your PECS user into someone who communicates in all situations using longer sentences. A review of the six Phases of PECS and discussions about your current challenges combined with ideas related to materials, teaching strategies and activities to promote communication will refine your PECS implementation skills.

This intensive two-day training is designed to expand on participants' knowledge of  the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and the protocols for how to appropriately implement the six phases of PECS.

PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE ATTENDED PECS LEVEL I TRAINING IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS NEXT LEVEL TRAINING!

What You Will Learn:

• The key Pyramid components to designing effective educational environments

• Strategies to create an abundance of opportunities for communication

• The relationship between PECS and traditional communication training approaches

• How to implement all six phases of PECS with target individuals using a behavior analytic orientation

• The criteria for transitioning from PECS to other communication modalities
