Becoming a teacher for students with cognitive disabilities or autism is not for the faint of heart! As a group, these teachers encounter some very interesting, challenging, and rewarding events on a daily basis. While this keeps life interesting, it can at times become overwhelming also. Your attendance at this session will provide suggestions on dealing with the following concerns: no prep time, scheduling nightmares, supervision of paraprofessionals, delegation of tasks, teacher burnout, and any other issues the audience would like to discuss. Come and learn how to not only survive, but thrive as a teacher of students with cognitive disabilities or autism. By being your best, you will inspire your students to do their best also.
Presenter: Karen Lietzow, Project Director, RSN, CESA 5; Former CD Teacher in MPS, Germantown, Grafton, Mukwonago, Wauwatosa
Registration fee/each workshop: $45.00/session or Early Bird Special! $150 if all 4 sessions are registered and paid for by September 30, 2010.
