This event is presented by CESA 2, CESA 3 & CESA 5.

This event is two days: Day 1 - February 9, 2015 and Day 2 - TBD.

In Day 1 of the workshop, teachers will participate in several model lessons, learn the benefits and cautions of using children's picture books in science, be introduced to the BSCS 5E model, and learn how to incorporate research-based reading comprehension strategies into science inquiry lessons.

Day 2 would be a more in-depth look at science inquiry. Through participating in model lessons, teachers will deepen their understanding of essential features of science inquiry and learn to incorporate inquiry into their science teaching.
