Classroom Management: Processes and Procedures
Participants will share their trials and successes from the first few weeks of teaching, and they will
investigate strategies to alleviate their classroom management concerns.
Cost: $25.00 per participant per session for CESA 8 – CIA Member School District. $35.00 per participant for all others.

Parent Communication, Open House, Conferences and Culture
Dealing with parents can be intimidating in your first year of teaching, but there are several strategies that can help the communication go smoothly. In this session participants will discuss a variety of strategies to communicate student progress while engaging parents in the process.

Assessment Strategies that Work
Participants will discuss the benefits of timely, accurate, and frequent feedback. Together they will
explore multiple ways to provide quality feedback in efficient ways. Additionally, the group will discuss how to use that data to inform instruction.

Integrating Technology into Teaching
Using technology and using technology to enhance learning may or may not be the same thing. This session will explore the use of technology to enhance learning while also motivating students- “getting the bank for our buck.”

Writing a PDP
Audience-Initial Educators (and others) in their first or second year of the PDP license renewal process
This session will explain the process of writing a Professional Development Plan, required by DPI for license renewal. Participants will walk out of the session with the first stages of the process already completed and stored electronically.
Cost: $25.00 per participant per session for CESA 8 – CIA Member School District. $35.00 per participant per workshop for all others.
