The International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) offers research-based professional development that is practical, face-to-face and collaborative so that administrators and staff can interact to find effective solutions to behavior issues you face every day—and immediately implement new skills in your classroom and school-wide.

Day 1: Understanding Restorative Practices
Understanding Restorative Practices provides effective approaches for building positive relationships, addressing negative student behavior and teaching students to accept responsibility for their actions and heal harm done to others. Engaging discussion, video demonstrations and group activities help participants apply restorative principles and circle practices to strengthen relationships, improve classroom and school climate, and implement positive prevention and intervention strategies.

Day 2: Using Circles Effectively
Using Circles Effectively expands practical skills in facilitating restorative circles that both prevent and address disruptive behaviors in PK-12 classrooms and improve school climate. Participants learn how circles and other restorative practices can reduce behaviors that lead to detention, suspension, and expulsion and provide a framework for anti-bullying programs, restorative discipline programs
