This hands-on session will focus on integrating the plethora of diverse classroom technologies (hardware, apps and web-based programs) through the lens of Universal Design for Learning. Learn how to filter through your list of 100s of apps on iPad, Android, Chromebooks, computers and the Cloud to create a core that truly provides all your students with access to a successful experience in learning, communication and engagement.  Examples will model the incorporation of a variety of technologies (think BYOT) within the same learning environment providing switch accessibility, visual supports, integration with Interactive White Boards, assessment, homework supports, and more, supporting all learners with multiple means of engagement and access to the curriculum, and communicate what they've learned!

Make sure the Chrome browser is installed on your Mac or Win laptop!

About the presenter:
Dan Herlihy is back!  Dan is a national conference über-presenter on topics ranging from Mobile Tools in a Flexible Learning Environment, Technology Solutions for Struggling Students, and Using Digital Images in the Classroom as a Teaching and Learning Tool. He has written books and articles on technology integration, as well as producing CDs of educational activities for students. His expertise is in taking diverse technologies, and connecting them together to provide solutions for access for all students.

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a refund if they cancel prior to 3 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Cancellations must either be made on MyQuickReg or by emailing cancel@cesa2.org. Because of our commitment to the presenter and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 3 working days prior to the event or who do not attend the event, will be billed the full fee. CESA 2 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via phone and email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. 

Inclement Weather Policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 2 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

In-Person Events: Restrictions on our in-person events due to COVID-19 have been lifted. We will be responsive to what's happening within our communities, and guidelines from the CDC and local health agencies for future offerings and will update guidelines when necessary.
