Teaching Science with NGSS X

Examine science teaching and improve student learning through this collaborative learning opportunity. Participants in these quarterly meetings will come together with teachers from other schools to network during activities for discussing instructional practices, examining model lessons, sharing resources, and collaboratively modifying current lessons as well as developing new ideas to take back to their classrooms.

Teachers are encouraged to attend both dates for a given topic as the second day will build on the first day work.

1st Semester Topic: Analyzing and Interpreting Data
Meeting Dates: October 27, December 5

2nd Semester Topic: Engaging in Argument from Evidence
Meeting Dates: February 27, April 24

$50 Registration Fee Per Person

Audience: 6-12 Science Teachers, Curriculum Specialists, Instructional Coaches, and Administrators

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated. CESA #3 is handicapped accessible.
