The PALS second grade assessment will be given for the first time in the fall of 2014. This workshop will provide you with time to learn the administration and scoring procedures needed to administer the test.

 

 

Workshop content will focus on:

  • Becoming familiar with your PALS materials
  • Creating a PALS account
  •  Inputting your classlist and student accommodations into your PALS account
  • Creating a CaseNex account
  • Discussion of administration and scoring procedures at second grade
  • Guided practice using the PALS online system
  • Overview and planning with the PALS round-the-year calendar

Other benefits of this workshop include:

  • Collaboration with your teaching colleagues and teachers from other districts
  • Completion of the quiz which is a requirement to administer PALS
  • Opportunity to ask questions and learn together in a collaborative environment
  • An opportunity to familiarize yourself with PALS before the testing window opens

What to Bring:

  • PALS Teacher Kit
  • 2014/2015 Student Classlist
  • List of Student Accommodations (Title I & IEP status)
  • Laptop computer (if you do not have one, one will be provided for you)
  • Headphones if preferred

Registration fees $50 each.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated. CESA #3 is handicapped accessible.
