Adlai Stevenson High School Visit

The visit to Adlai Stevenson High School continues to be a driving force for CESA 5 schools that are in the cycle of continuous improvement. During the day-long visit, presentations on Stevenson’s Professional Learning Communities, continuous improvement processes, and their amazing results inspire visitors.  Without exception, educators who attended the event return to their own schools fully charged with new goals and educational initiatives in mind. Stevenson High School has earned a number of awards since its beginning in 1965. The school was the first public high school in Illinois to receive four Blue Ribbon Awards for Excellence in Education from the U.S. Department of Education. Stevenson was awarded Blue Ribbon Awards in 1987, 1991, 1998 and 2002.

Site Visit Fee: The $50/person site visit fee has been pre-paid by CESA 5. We will invoice your district. We have reserved a limited number of spots.

Travel: We assume that districts will be responsible for travel to the hotel.

Breakfast and transportation to and from Adlai Stevenson High School are provided by the hotel. Because parking is very limited at ASHS, use of the hotel shuttle is encouraged.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
