Get Ready for the New Assessments: Allowable Accommodations, Accessibility and Supports

Target Audience: Director of Special Education/Pupil Services, DAC/SACS, and Special Education Teachers

This training is designed to be informative and interactive to prepare districts for the 2014-2015 school year of changing assessments. Specifically, we will examine the accommodations, accessibility and supports allowed in an online testing environment, and how to prepare the technical systems (Personal Needs Profiles and I-7 forms), teachers, and students for this change.

This workshop will include the following:

• Exploring the allowable Accommodations, accessibility and supports for each assessment (ACT Aspire, ACT, Smarter Balanced Assessment, and Dynamic Learning Maps)
• Understanding the similarities/differences for each assessment in terms of accommodations, accessibility and supports
  
• Discussion on I-7 forms and Personal Needs Profiles (PNP)

Cost: $30.00  per participant for Student Needs Professional Development (SNPD)/Curriculum Instruction and Assessment (CIA) member districts
           $60.00 per participant for non-member districts
