The Common Core State Standards Team, Special Education Team and Student Services/Prevention and Wellness Team at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction are offering a new professional development opportunity in recognition of the work educators do to support learners.
Morning Schedule: Never before have we needed to leverage our assets, expertise and resources to address issues and problems we face. However, our history of silos has left us with a need for new ways to work together on issues, to value each other's expertise, to strengthen the relationships required to solve problems and promote action. We will examine and practice strategies of collaboration, allowing us to better share information, better listen to and value the thinking of thers, to engage in working together and building concensus. These topics will be presented in the context of MultiLevel Systems of Support (MLSS).
Afternoon Schedule: Individuals choose two of three breakout sessions (1 hour each) with 15 minute break between breakouts, and 30 minutes to reconvene at the end to share with their team what they've learned.
