WCSCM LEVEL III will focus on the evaluation of your comprehensive school counseling program. Participants will:
• Develop an accountability action plan handbook,
• Conduct a comprehensive school counseling program audit,
• Strategize a process to evaluate school counselors,
• Become experienced in organizing and analyzing student data,
• Analyze data, select an issue and determine related program goals and objectives,
• Identify and select strategies to achieve goals and objectives,
• Develop a report to communicate the comprehensive school counseling programs impact, and
• Confirm the impact of the school counseling program on key indicators of student success using a six-step accountability process (MEASURE)!
Attendance at this Level III session will be geared to the participants who attended the 2-day seminar this past June with Dr. Trish Hatch. School teams may attend this session, but we request that at least one member of the team participating in the October/November session had attended the Hatch training in June. The October and November meeting dates will be lead by Gary Spear, former DPI School Counseling Consultant. This session is being “accelerated” to provide you with all the components of WCSCM Level III and integrate in many of the concepts presented by Dr. Hatch.
If your school team does not have a participant from the Dr. Trish Hatch seminar in June who can attend, please do not sign up for this WCSCM Level III seminar. We guarantee that we will run the “normal” WCSCM Level III again in the winter or spring. Please feel free to contact Pamela Hilleshiem Setz if you have any questions.
If you have any questions and/or concerns, please contact Wanda Williams at 608-742-8814, Ext. 273.
