Your students have interests and passions. What if you could give them a little structured time each week, say an hour, to explore those passions? What if in the process you could see a huge leap in student engagement, creativity, collaboration, and achievement of content standards? This amazing idea is known as Genius Hour or 20% time and began in the tech industry and is now changing classrooms all over the world. In this workshop, we will learn how to implement Genius Hour in any classroom. You will leave with tools that you can use to launch Genius Hour successfully.

Learning outcomes include:

  1. Learn how Genius Hour can transform your students' experience.
  2. Develop a plan for implementing Genius Hour in your classroom.
  3. Learn how real teachers are making Genius Hour work in their classrooms.

This workshop is offered at no cost to those districts participating in College & Career Readiness LS2, including Abbotsford, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, and Spencer.  Discount will be automatically applied.

The cost for all others is $500 per participant.
