Assessment Professional Learning and Coaching Series

Join us for an assessment series two-day workshop, focused on project-based learning (PBL) and rubric development for K-12 assessment. Discover effective strategies for implementing PBL in your classroom. Learn how to design and utilize rubrics as assessment tools to evaluate student learning and provide meaningful feedback. This interactive session will equip educators with practical insights into developing rigorous yet flexible rubrics aligned with learning objectives. Learning Intentions Participants will learn how to develop effective project-based assessment strategies connected to real-world tasks. Participants will learn the components of comprehensive rubrics with detailed criteria. Participants will discover techniques for actively involving students in the assessment process. Participants will explore strategies for providing feedback based on rubric criteria. Information: This professional learning session is part of the 2023-24 Assessment Professional Learning and Coaching Series. The most impactful outcomes of the workshop will be realized with multiple people from your district, including an instructional leader.
