Jennifer Serravallo is going to teach us how just a few minutes of purposeful, responsive teaching can have a BIG impact on your students. She will show us how to create groups for maximum effectiveness and how to make what you teach responsive, clear, and sticky. This webinar will give us ideas to try immediately in the classroom to begin to get the most out of small groups, supporting students and their success.

Jennifer Serravallo began her career in education as a teacher in schools in New York City and later joined the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (TCRWP) at Columbia University.

Through TCRWP and now as an independent consultant, she has spent over a decade helping teachers across the country to create literacy classrooms where students are joyfully engaged and the instruction is meaningfully individualized to students' goals.

Jen is the author of The Reading Strategies Book; The Writing Strategies Book; Teaching Reading in Small Groups; Conferring with Readers; The Literacy Teacher's Playbook; Understanding Texts & Readers; and, Connecting with Students Online.

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
