Using Emergent Storybook Reading in Pre-K to Support Young Readers

Fri., March 12, 2021  •  9:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.

Participate virtually in the live workshop on March 12th, or purchase the recording of the workshop to view at your convenience.

Have you ever wondered how you can naturally and appropriately support a love of reading with your young learners, even before they may be reading conventionally?

Are you looking for a way to support learners’ oral language development through authentic contexts, while providing each learner with a strong foundation of texts that they know so well they can “read” them all by themselves?

⇒ Are you wondering how you can best support your learners’ identities as readers, even before they may know their letters and/or sounds?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this workshop offering may be the perfect fit for you!

This workshop will immerse you in the world of Emergent Storybook Reading, based on the work of renowned researcher, Elizabeth Sulzby.

Join us for this day of learning, as we work to support our youngest readers in playful and joyful literacy ways!
