Gifted & Talented Collaborative

There is great diversity among learners in every school.  The educational community has a responsibility to provide rigorous learning opportunities for all learners. Many schools struggle to meet these needs. This group of educators work collaboratively around identification tools, program planning, delivery classroom strategies, and resources for students with gifted/talented needs. This collaborative supports those directing the education of students whose needs extend beyond the core curriculum.

“I love our group.  Meetings are always well planned out!  I always am able to take something away to use the next day.”

Workshop objectives:

  • Review and update the district gifted/talented plan addressing the seven key characteristics
Explore and evaluate processes for identifying the unique gifts and talents of students that are equitable for the diverse student population
  • Collaboratively network and learn together
  • Explore types of programs, opportunities and resources connected to core curriculum for gifted/talented students
