Join us to explore research-based teaching and learning strategies that focus on developing your students’ abilities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in all content area classrooms. Anne Pagel, Literacy Consultant and Title I Coordinator, will help you to focus on developing student academic discourse and collaboration, comprehension, and strategies that encourage students to become proactive and independent learners.

Participants will:

• Review and navigate content area texts with a perspective on student knowledge and comprehension
• Explore strategies to increase student collaboration and discourse
• Build on their students’ repertoire of teaching strategies through personal exploration and the gradual release of responsibility model

* Principal's Rate = $35 if attending with a team of at least 4 other staff members.
