Small Group Instruction with Writing Strategies for Grades 3-8

Jennifer Serravallo’s book, The Writing Strategies Book, has been wildly successful. Based upon Jennifer’s strategies and approach, teachers will learn to decipher the needs of their student writers and to use that data to plan and implement just in time instruction. Teachers will learn different methods for small-group instruction as well as receive planning documents to assist them in planning ahead while still having space for responsive teaching and one-on-one conferring with writers. Teachers will be introduced to the Demonstration Notebook, a teaching tool that supports small group instruction. Teachers will leave with several ready to use tools to drive writing instruction in their classroom the very next day.

* Principal's fee is just $35 when attending with at least four staff members.
