Coaching at its essence is the way that human beings, and individuals, have always learned best.” – Elena Aguilar, The Art of Coaching: Effective Strategies for School Transformation.  The Art of Coaching offers teachers, administrators and other education professionals a comprehensive, researched based guide to develop coaching relationships within the education system.  This book study and accompanying online course work, will guide participants through the coaching process

Registration fee: $100.00  per person

Course Pre-Requisite: Participants registering must purchase the book: The Art of Coaching: Effective Strategies for School Transformation by Elena Aguilar

Graduate credit: Optional: 1 or 2 grad credits will be available thru UW-Oshkosh for an additional cost of $200  per credit (payable to UW-Oshkosh)

Teacher Standards
WES1The teacher understands the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the disciplines he or she teaches and can create learning experiences that make these aspects of subject matter meaningful for pupils.
WES6The teacher uses effective verbal and nonverbal communication techniques as well as instructional media and technology to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom.
WES9The teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually evaluates the effect of his or her choices and actions on pupils, parents, professionals in the learning community and others and who actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally.
WES10The teacher fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community to support pupil learning and well being and who acts with integrity, fairness and in an ethical manner.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
