This user support group is designed for districts who have selected the BuildYourOwnCurriculum (BYOC) tool for curriculum and instruction structure and collaboration.  Each year this group selects a focus for a collaborative project.  Examples include:

  • Design lesson plan templates
  • Build learning targets for a set of content standards
  • Build sharable activities for a content area/grade level
  • Design a curriculum peer review process

In addition, strategies for curriculum leadership, implementation timelines, and review / training of specific BYOC functions and features are included.

Key Goals

  • Define and understand a variety of district curriculum philosophies
  • Map out curriculum design and curriculum update timelines
  • Discuss district policies related to curriculum and instruction
  • Learn the features and updates to the BYOC/BYOC+ software
  • Complete a collaborative project as selected by the membership
  • Network with other districts.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
